Four layer design

①The X3 drive belt was wrapped with high wear-resistant nylon fabric on both tooth surfaces, which makes less noise and improves transmission efficiency②Mid layer is high strength chloroprene rubber ③aramid string cord plus another layer of rubber will prevent rapid breakage of the X3 CVT Belt

Tips on extending new drive belt lifespan?

1. Soak it in dish soap, and then let it air dry. Washing gets rid of some of the loose rubber and mould release that may be on the belt from manufacturing
2. Clean the clutch sheaves with a cloth or light sandpaper
3. A break-in period is necessary.
Run your machine in neutral under 3000 RPM, Varying the speed, get some heat in it and go for basically a 30-50 kilometre break-in for the belt.
Please put it in low gear, don't go over four grand RPMS, and drive for 15 miles up and down a little bit but never exceed the 4000 in low and then slapping high. And then do it for another 15 or 25 kilometres to get your break-in done.
NOTE:
(1) During that time, be smooth on the throttle, don't lunge at low speeds and don't run at sustained steady throttle settings.
(2)Stop often and let the engine cool off (heat cycle). A good break-in is great for the life of the vehicle, and it extends the belt lifespan as well.
4. Filters on the vents of the CVT cases are necessary for good belt life. Running with the vents blocked or restricted will make the belt run hotter—and heat is a belt killer
